Default USB Ports are not being recognised.

My USB Ports on the front of my computer are not being recognised, although the mouse runs off one in the back and is OK. I have looked in the Device Manager and all Ports are working, and the drivers OK. I haven't encountered this before with this PC, it worked fine a couple of weeks ago. Can't download any photos off camera or music for MP3.
Can anyone help please?

Welcome to PCHF Brendan M!

Have you tried uninstalling them in device manager then rebooting and they will be installed again.

Is this a shop bought PC or custom built? It is possible that the front panel connector has came lose from the motherboard.

Did you let windows search for the drivers on the net?

If uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling didnt work, try uninstalling all usb devices(host controller/root hub...ect) , reboot and let windows redetect them and reinstall. Even though device manager says theyre working ok, you cant always rely on that, device manager will sometimes lie to you. Also check your bios settings to be sure the front ports are enabled.
