Default [Resolved]My IBM laptop won't boot my XP Disc!

Hello,

I tried several times and with different cds, but my IBM laptop doesn't want to boot my Windows XP CD. Maybe there's an option I can enable to check for bootable disks? You tell me.

Help would be appreciated...

Have you configured the system to boot from the CD? Here's how to do so:
As soon as you turn on the computer, keep pressing the F8 key. When the menu comes up, choose "Boot from CD".

What I see when I press F8:
---

Windows Advanced Options Menu
Please select an option:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA Mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Debugging Mode

Start Windows Normally
Reboot
Return to OS Choices Menu

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.
---

?? What should I do?

Opps, I'm sorry. You should have entered bios instead.
How to access/enter Motherboard BIOS

Once you entered bios, change your CD drive to the first of the boot option list.

I installed new BIOS, pressed the "Access IBM Button" on startup, and set the CD to boot first, and it works. Thanks for the link . I couldn't have done it without you.
