Default IE6 Repeatedly Closes Due to Error Encountered

I just installed Win 2000 on one of my desktops. I must use the IE 6 that came with the system (IE 7 not supported).

I did also install Service Packs 1–4.

Problem: Many times when I click on a link within a web page, I get a error message that states that the browser has encountered an error and must close itself. It also states that there is an error log being created.

This same problem occurs when I check my hotmail account and click on the "Allow This Sender" command.

Hmmm... What is going on? And, where is this error log file located?
