try these and see if it fixes your problem

Go to
>Tools (in any folder or go to control panel - Appearance and themes - Folder Options)
>Folder Options...
>On General Tab - Click on "Restore Defaults" Button
>On View Tab - Click on "Reset All Folders" and "Restore Defaults" Buttons

Hi Ramarawr, when you right click on the folder, what option is set to Bold?
