Cool wireless network wont connect

i have a wanadoo 8meg internet with the 8meg box and i am currenly working off the wired connection but the wireless won work with my laptop then i try to connect my laptop is a sony vaio and when i go onto wireless connection setting i scann and my wannadoo box appears then when i click connect it says "limited or no connectivity " even though i am sat next to the box . then if i go on the th wireless network connection status and click repairit get to the last thing in repairing it which is " Renewing you ip adress" it can an error comes up " Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the folowing action could not be comleted :renewing your ip adress .

can anyone help me this would be greatly appreciated .

If that dosent work. then are you using a wep key (security password to stop unwanteed users using your wireless) ?? You may have to refer to your wanadoo manual for instructions on finding out your wep key, then when you connect to the wireless network via your laptop it may ask for your wep key...U just simply type in the same 1 that is set for the modem (you have to enter it twice to verify you've type'd it correctly)..Hope this helps..

u have tryed restarting and entering the wep key and it ist workin i maybe think now it is something to do with m pana antovirus 2007

What are you using for a firewall, try disabling it.

it works perfectly with out the firwall but how can i use the firewall and allow the interent
