Been thinking back and forth and I still wonder if there´s some kind of inbuilt "kamikaze function" in OEM licences ...? That may hinder the OS from installing? if so, what could it be? And, how to avoid it?

lol, ok, thanx for the details there, sorry for the delay in posting back.

"Unknown IPL" is a problem. I'm suprised setup didn't correctly configure the MBR, but we can get around this quite easily with this utility. Just scroll down to the MBR and press [ENTER], select "Standard IPL". Reboot, and see if this works. If not, you can also try flagging 2 instead of 3 as bootable, but I'm sure that changing to Standard IPL should be enough. The rest (label & head) isn't a problem here.

FANTASTIC! That did the trick! Problem solved!

Only changing to Stadrad IPL alone did not help but, when I flagged the small partition with the CD files on, just as you suggested, it started. Yay! Installed! Now working!

Thanks a lot, you have no idea how grateful I am!!! Not only did you help me rescue my computer but, I have also learned a lot from you along the way. Thank you so very, very, very much!
