Default [Answered] Reverse Full System Recovery

I had a problem about a week ago where I couldn't boot, I came here, and the basic response was that I needed to reinstall Windows. When I booted my PC from the recovery disc, which sometimes works, it said it would recover everything but that all my files would be lost. So I never did it.

However, my sister who won't use her own stuff, did this form of recovery while I was gone and now all my stuff is gone, all of it.

I need to somehow reverse this. My PC is now in it's just-purchased stage and I will go to any length to reverse this.

Help me, please.

I'm sure some of you know what it's like to lose years worth of files in a flash.

Please, I beg you, give me hope.

Please, please, please, please, please help me.

Superfly - please remember that this website is a free service, as such we do not have a team member online 100% of the time.
Your queries will be dealt with when a member of the staff shows up.

Unfortunately, as the restore procedure is a destructive one, the files are lost. Even an undelete program will not work and have no chance of working, due to the fact that where the files would have been, has been over written.

Im sorry but there is no way around the fact that your data is lost.

GarHar - I realize that, and I appreciate what you guys do around here. But as you can imagine, I'm a little mad over losing years worth of files.

And your answer is pretty much what I expected. I was just looking for a ray of hope.

Yea, sorry there isn't better news
And yes, I can imagine the loss of years worth of data - it's happened to me before
