Unhappy [Resolved] Desktop icons stuck!

Please help! I can't move my desktop icons. Can't drag them or anything. Theres nothing checked under display property except "Show desktop icons". I can click on the icon and it'll load the programs; I just can't move or drag them! Please help!

Hello Jude

Welcome to PC Help Forums

Right click on an area of the Desktop.
Hover the mouse over "Arrange Icons by...."
Untick "Auto Arrange"

Thanks, but "Auto Arrange" is not checked; only "Show Desktop Icons" is checked.

Grab your XP cd and follow the System File Checker link below in my signature.

Also, download and run this: McAfee Threat Center - somwhere in the back of my mind I think I remember a virus being able to cause this (possibly the Blaster Worm?!?)

So is the problem fixed or not?

If not then follow the PCHF Prework link in my sig and post back a Hijackthis log and an AVG report. Then the security team will look for any undetected malware.
