Hello,

Last night our computer in our family room I think took a poop on us. It doesn't even boot up to the bois, but the hard drive light is on solid and I can hear the hard drive doing something. I left it on for about 30 mins and it was still doing the same thing. Could this be a hard drive failure or would this be a major hardware failure like the motherboard?

Ello

Nope, if I press numlock on the keyboard, it doesn't even light up the keyboard led saying numlock is on

I would try disconnecting the hard drive then re-booting, you may get a screen saying "Operating System not found".
I'm just trying a process of elimination that's all.

Your welcome ello

I would get another hdd, obviously, install the os and you should be back up and running.
When you do you could try slaving that bad drive and see if you can retrieve any of your files off it.
