Default [Resolved] Link to invisible folder?

I have all my ripped mp3's in a folder (My Docs-Music) on a 2nd hdd (H: ). Some days ago, when I opened the 2nd hdd with Explorer, the folder did not show but there was instead a shortcut to the folder.

The shortcut's properties shows that the folder is indeed there on the drive, but I can't see it. However, when the shortcut is clicked the Explorer window changes to the desired folder (H:My Docs-Music).

Using the command shell, I can go to the folder and see it's contents.

I recently used CDEX to convert some wav files to mp3's which normally then appear in the (target) subfolder in My Docs-Music. In fact, I cannot find the new mp3's at all-on any of my hdd's!

This is all very strange as I have been using CDEX to do this for years.

Is this a registry issue?

Anybody have any idea what is going on? TIA

Is the folder a hidden folder?

ASFAIK, it is not. I never did anything intentionally to hide it (actually don't know how) and of course Explorer is set to show hidden files and folders.

Your question was a clue to the solution.

In command prompt, attrib "H:\My Docs-Music" showed both S & H set, so

attrib -H -S "H:\My Docs-Music" removed them and voila'

There is the folder again like magic!

Thanks again and for the welcome.
