Default [Pending] Flash Mp3 USB

New problem. I just got this 2GB USB flash/MP3 player http://www.manac.com.au/Support/dl/U...UserManual.pdf". The problem is that when I plug in the USB the PC just says "USB Device Not Recognized" If I search to update the drivers it does not find anything. Do I need to download a program to get this running or how would it work?

Hey Platinum!

That's strange because this is that kind of standard player that is recognized everywhere. Have you tried pluggin' it in to any other computer.

Does the package contain any CDROM?

It actually says "not recognized" huh? Are you sure that it is creating a new drive for the player?

To start Disk Management:

1. Log on as administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
2. Click Start, click Run, type compmgmt.msc, and then click OK.
3. In the console tree, click Disk Management. The Disk Management window appears. Your disks and volumes appear in a graphical view and list view. To customize how you view your disks and volumes in the upper and lower panes of the window, point to Top or Bottom on the View menu, and then click the view that you want to use.

Plug in the MP3 player whilst you are in that tool and look to see if it appears on the list of drives - if it does then you may need to assign a drive letter to it by right clicking on the drive.

Could be just a faulty player, but can you try using another computer?

Heh, that was going to be my next suggestion...what happens if you do plug it into another PC?
