I actually have the computer with the problem completely unplugged right now, so I can't get a Hi-Jack This log. Sorry. I did the recovery thing, but decided to go further. My father has a friend at his office (where he works) and he is the computer expert there. He is truly amazing. What I actually did was transfer my music, my videos, and some video game files to my external harddrive. Then I did a system restore. Instead, my father's friend is going to help me my format my harddrive and reinstall Windows. I know that will definatly get rid any infections. But there is one last thing I need to know.

I am going to save the following files/folders to my external harddrive:

My videos, my music, The Sims 2, GTA San Andreas User Files, Battlefield 2, and the drivers for my devices.

What are the chances these particular files would contain viruses, and what would you guys recomend I do when I get to my father's office to be as sure as possible that they don't contain any infections? I'll scan them with McAfee, but other than that what would you recomend? Thanks, and I'm very sorry I can't get the Hi-Jack This log.

I would say if you got all your videos, music, and games from legit download sites, and they scan clean, youre probably ok. But some of the security team may be onboard and have better advice.

I'm typing this on my newly installed Windows XP Pro and it is insanely fast, and it scans completely clean. Thanks everyone.
