Hey ballstine69!

This can be a hardware/driver problem, or it can be overheating.

Make sure you got all your device drivers updated, or did it happen shortly after installing (new) drivers?

Would you be able to check your CPU temperatures?

No problem.

Here's some software for checking your temperatures:
SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

You can update drivers via the producer's websites.
I suggest you to update at least your graphic card drivers, via either NVIDIA Home or Advanced Micro Devices - Smarter Choice - Graphics and Media Processors
