Default [Fixed] Live CD

Hello PC Help Forum,

I am currently running XP Professional on a Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop with plenty of computing power. I am attempting to boot from a live cd into another operating system (Ubuntu; Linux). However, when I restart with the live cd in my drive, I am only given the options of booting into XP Professional and XP Home. Is there any safe way to bypass this and boot directlly into the OS on the live CD? The CD was shipped from the manufacturor, so it should be free of errors.

For additional info on Ubuntu, check the following links:

stepes he got it from the manufacturer and didnt burn it himself. To set cd-rom as your first boot device go into the BIOS and select boot options.

How do you go to the Bios and set boot options. How do you change it back?
