Default Help! Blue Screen!

Dont know if anyone can help me. I was running a Japanese OS and tried to install an English version. I formatted the drive but when I got to the installation screen I got an error. I tried again with the same error. STUPIDLY I went in via Safe Mode and tried to set my settings back to the last known setting that worked. After that my PC crashed. Now even when I try to reinstall my Japanese OS, when I get to the Windows Setup Screen and select Install Windows my PC immediately crashes. It doesnt even give me the option of formatting the drive.

Is there any hope or am I screwed?

Thanks

You could try the fdisk route with a 98 floppy disk and then install the Japanese OS.
Are you familiar with this method?

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get a bootable disk of windows 98 and was able to format my hard drive, then install windows xp again. I pulled my PC apart trying to sort out this problem because I was going to install another hard drive, which ended up not working. In the end I finally got it going on the old hard drive with windows 98. Only problem is now my screen resolution is not as crisp as it was before. It looks like I need glasses when reading the screen. Characters seem a little blurred. Full size pics are ok, but thumbnails also seem blurred. Not that big a problem but kind of annoying.

Any suggestions?

Did you get/update the driver for the graphics card?
The 98 driver database is nowhere near as good as XP.

I formatted the drive with 98, but never installed it. Then I setup xp over it. After the characters looked so blurred I formatted the drive again with XP and installed it, but no difference. If I keep looking at the screen like this Im gonna need glasses soon! Maybe I did something when I pulled my PC apart, but dont think so.

I apologise I did not read it correctly.
Is this a CRT monitor or TFT?
