ok, i tried it with a fx5200 and a 7600 and both get the same problem..
i have reformatted with a radeon 9250 and no problems at all....
only nvidia cards are playing up (also i know these 2 cards work fine)..
i have tried to install nvidia drivers but they wont install because they cant find an nvidia piece of hardware..
could there be any settings in bios that could change this? because i have used this same copy of windows to install onto this pc with an nvidia card before.. the only change from before is my new motherboard...

sorry to write so much
