I am getting a msg local policy of system does not permit you to
logon. What the hell is happening? It was fine when I logged off last. I can
access a limited user account only. When I do, I can go into my
explorer and see my admn file with all my documents and such but it will not
let me access anything and it shows it is empty. OH NO!!! I am not
computer savy and do not understand some of the fixes I have read online.
What do I do? Please anybody, I have been trying to fix this for 2 days I really need to get to my stuff.

Hello Agness
Welcome to PC Help Forums I bet you are screaming with frustration yes? Ok try this; Start XP in Safe Mode by tapping F8 on boot up. Click Start and then Run. In the Run box type "control userpasswords2" (No Quotes) Click the user account that you want to change the password for and click Reset Password. Type a new password in both the New Password and Confirm New Password boxes then click ok. Bear in mind when doing this that the items below will no longer be available. E-mail messages that are encrypted with the user's public key. Internet passwords that are saved on or remembered by the computer. Any files that the user has encrypted.
