Cool Vaio lap top screen

A problem has cropped up with my lap top
It is a Sony Vaio S type VGN-SZ71B/B
The Windows display on this computer only takes up a portion of the whole screen. I have about an inch on both sides of Blank dark space. How can I adjust so Windows takes up the whole screen?
thanks

There should be some buttons either on the face of the LCD display or on the portion of the keyboard. Try pressing them one at a time and see how it goes. I searched online to find a manuel and they all either seemed to be in a language other then English or irrelivent.

Even I have the same laptop and I also faced the same problem, when I formatted it and installed english version of windows. The solution for this problem is in the D drive of your laptop. There must be a driver folder, having few basic drivers for the laptop, go to the Video2 folder and run the exe file, your problem will be solved.

I indeed thank you for your kind reply
I did as you said
the only exe file I could find is nvsvc32.exe is that what you refered to?
I did start then run then the nvsvc32.exe and a DOS screen came up and dissapeared. I do not think any thing really happened
your thoughts?
