Hi Confused.

If you have your Windows XP recovery CD, and you remember your administrator password, you can use this to boot from. Before you reach the setup stage, you will be to press R to enter the recovery console. From the recovery console, you will be able to type: chkdsk /f to repair errors on the disk, and chkdsk /r to fix any bad sectors.

That doesn't work...pushing R brings me to the same BSOD
