Unhappy [Fixed] CMOS setup utility

I had a unrecoverable crash and had to reformat.I think it was due to my son trying to change HD priorities in CMOS setup utility.I then after reinstalling winXP put a password on the utility to keep it from happening again. The problem is now I need to change the Cmos, the password allows me in but when I try to change boot order everything is colored grey and I can't change anything.I can't figure out how to remove the password or get it to let me make ANY changes.Any help would be appreciated.

Some motherboards have a jumper that can be set to clear and reset the bios. Just taking the battery out for a few minutes will do it also. Before you try anything, write down any special settings you may have, so you can reset em later. And have a look here, this tutorial explains it better:

Edit: Theres alot of good information in the tutorials section of the forum. Theres also a search button on the toolbar at the top of each forum section. Just type in what youre having trouble with, and odds are pretty good your answer may already be there, and you wont have to wait for a reply. Browse around the different forum sections, alot of good reading here.
