Ohh yes! This one is different to your original
BSOD. Your original one was ialmdev5.dll, and this one is win32k.sys.
ih8bills could well be right, this could be a hardware problem. If you have a spare floppy disk, download and extract:
http://www.memtest86.com/memt32.zip
Use the install.exe which will install memtest onto a floppy disk. Reboot and do a full memory test. There are also instructions within the .zip file, in a document called readme.txt, if your not sure at any point, but it's quite easy to use.
If all is clean, after a
BSOD your PC will dump more about the
BSOD into a file, so can you paste the contents of these files back here:
- Go to
Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer and click on the
System section.
- Look for event 1001, which should have the following information:
Event ID: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was ?
...A dump was saved in:.......?
- This will tell you where the location of the dump file is. Paste the contents of the file, or renamte it from .dmp to .txt and attach it here.
