Default [Answered] Shortcut Keys

Hi, I have a PC which has windows XP installed.

There are many phrases which I use repeatedly during the day when using PC and wondered if there was a way I could assign shortcut keys to these phrases to save me keep re-typing them. If so, how do I go about assigning keys to the phrases.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sueskid

Welcome to PC Help Forums

If using MS Word you could use Auto Text like below then a singular key (initial of the start of the phrase/sentence) press would insert the particular phrase.

Thanks wolfeymole. No, I don't use MS word. I need the shortcut phrases for websites where I play bridge and give the same information over and over again at the various tables I sit at. Perhaps you can help.

Well unless the particular site has a tool of sorts that you could configure, I don't see a way round it unless you had Word open all the time on the taskbar.
You could then perhaps use the Copy and Paste box to drop the words in if you follow what I mean.

"And why not", as Barry Norman would say, but claims he never has.
