I recently tried to run ipconfig to see my dns server, but the dos box would not stay up and I ran a search for ipconfig on my computer and it came back with no file found. What do I do now? I'm completely at a loss.

Yep make sure you type it in the command prompt (by typing cmd in run box).
As typing ipconfig into run only will just make it flash and dissapear. BTW this is the wrong forum for this as it is not important information so i have moved to Windows XP/2k forum. |

ipconfig will not show you your DNS...
you need to use Start -> Run -> cmd -> ipconfig /all
