general computer freeze

hello my computer has been running a bit wierd basicaly it freezes when games are running its ok on desktop like when my wife plays sims2 same with a few of my games
it locks up have to pull the power plug and it takes about 5 mins to restart ive dloaded advanced windows care it found a few problems but none that i can link to this problem that i have

ive dfragd had a look in the tower all ok i dont know where to start place this post hope its the right place thanks

its wierd like if i just leave battlefield2142 running and dont move its fine but then when i start pressing keys for 5mins it goes to desktop then i play enemy terrtiory the same happens when i start pressing key it crashes the whole lot have to reboot please help!!!!!!!!!

Hi ineverwin!

Does the PC give a Blue Screen, or something? Or does it just freezes the screen.
Also, are you sure about your computer temperatures?

check your graphics card. our old one did that, the graphics card had went bad, and now our recently bought one, the fan died and it does the same thing. what graphics card do u havE?

ok there is no blue screen just freezes my gfx card is a nvid 6600 pci-e 128mb the card is not even a year old but i can play the sim for hours i start playing battlefield for 5-10 mins and it crashes
