Welcome to PCHF thomas18!

I run MCE and i have a bout 60 processes most of the time (none of them spyware or anything). Just depends on what you run and that, some people have as low as 30 processes but they hardly run anything.

If there is anything suspicious it will be picked up in your HJT log and the security team will notify you with removal steps.

I like to keep mine to a minimum on my pc, however currently i have a heap running, becuase some anti-spyware programs run lots, if you are unsure about a process, google it and some site will have information of weather or not its harmless and how to kill it off.
