hello all gd people, my friend has set a master password on her pc,and she has 3 accounts but cant log into her own, she said she needs to know how to use a master password any ideas pls..x

Oh. So have the passwords been forgotten or just not working?

Anyway also try hitting ctrl-alt-del twice in a row whilst on the welcome screen and no users logged in to bring up a username and password box.

Then put username administrator and password - whatever was set or just leave it blank and try > then press enter and if it logs in you can get onto user accounts and reset the passwords for the non-working accounts.

ok i tried that lol the pc isnt displaying the welcome screen its black and has a log on box that you have to type user name and password the only account its letting me log onto is if i type guest is this a safe mode it was ok yesterday but kids have done something and i dont know what is there a way to restore the pc ??

Try typing into that box then administrator for username and (nothing - as in leave blank) for password and then try logging in.


This is confusing. Lynn why are you using two accounts? (there is no need)

ok tried that didnt work either is there a way of restoring pc when its booting up the welcome screen has gone and i have no idea what or why its gone like this


im not using 2 accounts we are 2 different lynns lol
