Windows XP/2000 - Trouble upgrading compaq deskpro 5000 posted in the Operating Systems forums; I just reformatted and upgraded a friend's compaq presario 5000 from ME to 2K. I'm having a terrible time finding a modem driver. Has anyone had this problem?...

Hi schooltech, If its just compaq presario 5000, the modem driver you need is called: pc-tel platinum series v.90, but I believe they released the driver for every version of windows except 2000. I hope i'm wrong!?
