Greetings. I am also trying to build a custom gaming PC.

For the MOBO, My choice at the moment is the ASUS P5K3 Deluxe.

The processor I belive suits my needs is the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850.

At the moment, I'm just worried about these two components. I want to get this part of the selection process confirmed before going on to video/sound cards, hard drives and such.

Are these components good for an upper-mid/high end gaming build?
