Hi,
Im not a very technical laptop owner who after a recent defrag has been presented with the blue screen of death and the following message;
STOP:c0000221 (Bad Image Checksum)
The image kernel32.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum.
I have tried starting in dos mode by pressing f8 and have gone through all of the options it offers but I have had no joy in getting this to reboot. I have the Recovery CD's but can't get the CD-ROm drive to boot.
I have loads of stuff for work on this machine that I havent got round to backing up (I know, bad bad move), Can anyone please help, I'm terrified of losing all this info!!
TIA
Skinner
