Hi everyone, I don`t know what I`ve lost, about a year ago I let a friend download a disc from my harddrive onto his mp3 player. He said all was well and left a short time later. I run a Time 2700 with a CD/DVD rom(E) and a CD/DVD ram(D). While both of these are shown and said to be working, only the "D" drive works. When I put a disc in "E" drive it says "Please insert disc". I also notice I have no primary slave and in "my computer" I have lost "J" in removable disc, I have no idea what has happened. I don`t keep anything of value or anything I want to keep so I have shut down pc and put factory setting in several times but to no avail, the drives do not start. The pc is out of the box (I know it`s old now but it does what I want it to do) it has no extras or anything else put in it. I am not into the language of pc`s and I don`t know a lot about them, can anyone help please, thanks, MOUSE

You say you have now Primary Slave, do you have Primary Master, Secondary Master, and Seconday Slave show up in BIOS?

Hi madmonkey. I`m sorry Idon`t know what BIOS is or how to get it. Have had a look in devise manager. Primary IDE, when I click it, on the top ( i think it`s the tool bar?) comes two small signs, one is uninstall which I`ve done and restarted, didnot install and the other is a round sign like a no entry. I have tried lots of ways to start this. On properties on "E" drive it has no media ? thanks MOUSE

Bios is the basic input output system.

To get into the bios restart your computer and near the start it will have press F1 for bios setup or F2 or another key.

Hi Upgrader, just tried, it said secondary drive none ? MOUSE.

Also Upgrader, just looked at syspec, noticed both CD?DVD`s run from IDE, does this help you? MOUSE
