Hey PCHF, as you can see from my system details i have 2GB of Ram in my system with also a large HD. My question is is it really worth me having the page file static, or using it at all when i have 2GB of ram and a large HD?

I dont think it is really worth it but i would jsut leave it there nayway because it is unliekly to make much of a difference.

BTW nice specs.

Hey MadGamer,

The idea of the pagefile, is to be used as 'virtual memory' when your RAM is full.

I've got a whole hard 120gb hard drive dedicated to my page file, and nothing else touches it. I noticed a huge improvement in multi-tasking abilities when I did that.

It's always recommended that the minimum size of your page file should be the same as the amount of ram you have, the max is whatever you want to make it...idealy, they best way to have your page file is on a dedicated hard drive (not partition).
