Default [Fixed] Absolutely Stuck!!!!

Ok, hey guys im new here so let me start off by saying hello to all, normaly i woudnt post a question because 99.9% have already been asked and answered but im baffled by this one. Ok so i have this file in "my documents" and i cannot do anything to it, its a video file i downloaded and it wont let me have a look at the properties (simply doesnt show it when i right click), it wont let me delete it, rename it etc etc and it doesnt play, so i have no idea either how to fix the file or delete it, also a point to note is that the file name is extremely long and it may have something to do with that but like i said it wont let me do anything to alter it. Any ideas? Cheers.

Hello Def83,

Welcome to pchf.

If you reboot your PC and go into Safe Mode (F8 just past the post screen). Logon as your administrator account if you remeber the password you setup when Windows was first installed. The local administrator account gives you extra special permissions! Your file will be located in c:\documents and settings\[your name]\My Documents

Also, another way of doing this in normal mode.
- Go to Start, Run and type in cmd
- Type cd "my documents"
- Type del [Filename] to delete the file.

If there are no other files starting with that name, you can type in the first couple of letters and then use a wildcard (*.*), for example: del the_kin*.*
