Default Windows Update Won't Update

I scan for updates and in the window all it shows is a grayed out 'Install Updates' button. On the right I clicked through FAQ and support and those other options and eventually just above that it showed '(61)' in like there were 61 updates, it showed 0 earlier, but the 'Install Updates' is still grayed out and there are no updates listed in the window on the right under that grayed out button. I know that probably wasn't a good explanation, sorry. I have done some recent virus and malware removal.
One other issue that I don't know if it is related to this is that if I double click Users in Control Panel it gives me an error that it "cannot open the user accounts control panel". I can get to the users dialog box by using 'control userpasswords2'.

Welcome to the forums!

Have you checked the updates that you want to install before trying to install updates?

No, I didnt' format it. I finished the scan I was doing and the OS allowed me in without much interuption.

I can't actually see the individual updates. The only thing in the body frame is the grayed out 'Install Updates' button. There are no updates listed. In the left side 'task pane' it shows the (61).

Joe said your "Heavily Infected" now i haven't seen him say that too anyone before so your computer must be in pretty bad condition. So most likely all these viruses you have is causing these problems.

I reccomend you wait for Joe/any of the secruity team to reply and see what they have to say .
