Default Red Pixelated bars........still

I tried the cleaning out meathod you suggested and it worked for like 20 minutes, now im back to square one. Thinking that it was over heating i stuck a big desk fan infront of my open tower to keep everything cool but it is still happening? any other ideas?

Does it still happen in safe mode? It could be that your graphics card is on the way out.

hi there, yeah i just tried to reboot in safe mode and it does the exact same thing, infact now its even coming up on the initial bios screen, think its just my video card still?

Yea, it sounds like the video card to me.

I'm not sure if this was covered in your other post, but did you try a different monitor?

Yea, it sounds like the video card to me.

I'm not sure if this was covered in your other post, but did you try a different monitor?
Yep that was covered in his other post i asked him and he said he had tried two different monitors.

hey guys, thanks for all the help and you were dead on about the video card - i had some free time today so i swapped out mine for my roomates and everything is running smooth now, i guess i'll have to resort to using my motherboard monitor out for now untill i can get a new one. Thanks Again
