Default Hidden files don't show

Hidden files (all of them) on my computer don't show although I choose "Show hidden files and folders" and "Hide protected operating system files" in Tools -> Folder options.
When I come back to Tools -> Folder options -> It's still in "Do not show hidden files and folders". I don't know why.
I had scanned for viruses and spywares but I didn't find anything.
Thanks for reading. Please help me.

Hi khongten, once you've selected those 2 options, select 'Apply to all folders'

close the window, and reopen it.

Maybe the folder has no hidden files.
If you remember the folder/file name, you can try typing it into the address bar.
Try doing a search and checking the box "search hidden files and folders"
