Hello and this is my first time here. I know a little about computers but not a whole bunch. My daughters toshiba laptop which is fairly new had a problem crashing and she tried to run the recovery applications disk that came with it and now when it boots up it hangs up and won't fully load her desktop.I have heard about starting up in safe mode but don't know how to do this. She really needs this for school. Can anyone here help me please
thank you for replying I have tried to get safe mode but haven't been able to.the desktop loads but stops before the task bar loads and I can't access anything.i'll keep trying to get safe mode.
she had a problem so she tried recovery.I just got safe mode up and now I get a box saying Explorer.EXE-application error the application failed to initialize properly (0x0000006). click ok to terminate the application.I clicked okay and now it's a black safe mode screen.
