Default [Fixed] Alienware hard disk boot problem

Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you can help me as i am going mad

I have a Alienware Pc bought 2 years ago but with a SCSI Disk drive,

I had a boot disk with it until i lost it in a move a few days ago the problem being i load Windows XP Home Edition up and it asks me if i want to install a Third party SCSI device (Storage) to press F6 so i press it to try and bypass it.

The main issue now is it does bypass it but then says "Please insert the boot disk for mass storage drive press S to specify but obviously I have lost this disk and am totally stuck now and my head is banging

I have contacted Alienware who originally sent me the driver but they refuse to help as my 1 year support has now run out with them.

I hope i have explained myself well

Please, Please, Please, Give me some help i would be very greatfull.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark, have you tried the Alienware Site, to see if you can download the driver?

Hi Markey, welcome to PCHF

What kind of SCSI controller do you have? You should be able to get this information from Alienware.

Support --or not it should be a free download from them.
We'll help you look for it.
...and considering Alienware's price-range... they only give you ONE YEAR of support ??!!! Should be 3 years , minimum !
