Hi my PC keeps automatically shutting down. If I leave it on while im out when I come back its off. It maybe stays on for 15 - 30 mins. Can anyone help me? I have checked my BIOS power management settings and it all seems alrite thanks

Did you also check the "Health" part of the bios too (temps especially)?

Hi Lee, welcome to the site!
You should check a couple things; CPU Temp. a pc will shut it self down if the CPU is getting to hot. Power. not enough power will kill the system as well. |

It usually varies between CPU types, but the general operating temperature of a socket 370 chip for example should remain below 85c. 85c is the limit for a lot of processors of this type, but some, such as an SECC2 (Slot 1) processor should remain below 75c.
The manufacturer of the processor or motherboard can give you exact figures, but if you find out what type of connection you have on your motherboard/processor, I can find out for you. |
