Hi!
I've been having this problem for a very long time. I just didn't have enough time to solve it. It comes apparently 'randomly'. Once in a week or twice in an hour.
1000000a: 00000820, 0000001e, 00000001, 804d9e0e
I also had previously driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (i think it was 7F)
All my drivers are up to date.
These are the things that dont appear on my specs list:
a WinFast TV2000 XP Deluxe Tv-card and a Logitech MX 700 mouse with wireless keyboard.
The reason because i write, is that i seem to have found an interesting thing. When I'm working in Windows Movie Maker the error comes very very frequently. I can't really tell what I'm doing when it comes, I just play a clip or so.
The other day I tried to copy a large (mpg) file on lan. The result was crash on 3 attempts per 3.
What the hell can be going on?
What tests should I run?
Many thanks for your help!

Hello gorilla and welcome to the forums!
These errors are usually associated with ram failure! Ram needs to be tested in a DOS environment and XP has no true DOS. Go here and choose the application of memtest86 that can be used with your system...Floppy or CD ? set your BIOS to the correct configuration to first boot (floppy or CD) and boot to the program. Run it several times and if it reports any errors then that ram will need to be replaced. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool |

Hi lurkswithin,
This memory test was run once before for hours but found nothing. But now as I started, it found 2 errors immediately. In the first half minute. I tried to put the memories into other places but the error remained. I took out one of them and the error disappears. I guess that one goes to trash. |
