Default [Resolved] Major Slow Down ON my Pc

Ok i booted my pc up today and everything was slower booting up, and i mean extremely slow to a point where clickin on icons would lock my machine up , final when i got it to boot up all the way after 15mins of waiting, when i try to open things up they just lock up and hang forcing a system restart , what could possibly causing my pc to run at such slow and idiotic speed, i havent changed anything to my pc since the last time i was on it, what could possibly be the problem

hi there, hmm this isen't sounding too good ,

Have you tried booting up in safe mode to see if it is any quicker, if it does i can give more instructions ,

  • turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
Ps: have you checked for any dust inside your processer as this can sometimes slow systems down.

Ok i'm assuming you can run programmes better in safe mode so if possible please follow the prework here

http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...a-prework.html

and post a Avg Anti-spyware log and a Hijack this log.

It does sound more like a hardware issue, but it's best to eliminate it from being a virus first .

It could if installing the game used the last free space on the HD, did you install the game on your O.S. partition, and how much free space do you have left? (especially on C: )
