Default strange noise

i have an emachines 06 model and recently, there has been a strange noise coming from the console. it sounds like the ventilation van is cooling, but it's not the fan, it's internal. i have no idea what caused the noise or why it is happening, so i need everyone else's help as to what it could be and what i can do.

thanks in advance.

Hi Random88,
Welcome to the site,

If you are happy to do it (If the pc is under warranty you should contact your vendor first), you can take the side of the case off and see if you can pinpoint the source of the noise, sometimes a fan bearing can let go so you get vibrations and so noise. This is not too much of a problem EXCEPT if the fan that is about to go is either the cpu fan or psu fan, then things get a bit more serious. If it is the CPU fan it will need to be replaced as soon as you can, the psu fan can struggle on a little longer but mostly the whole psu has to be replaced.
let us know how you get on
