Default [Fixed] Silly Problem...

I've had this silly problem, which is more of an annoyance than really a problem. I installed Windows again, AGAIN, about a month ago. After I installed my graph cards drivers and rebooted, its folder, ATI, ALWAYS opens on startup. Well, apparently I should just go delete it from where ever the command is to open it on startup, but that's where my knowledge comes to a wall. I have no idea where that folder/file is. :P I think that's the sollution, but I could be wrong. If it's this, then I'd like to know where this place is or if it's something else, then a sollution to it. OS is Win XP Pro.

Hi Jawni.

There is 2 or 3 places it could be loading from. First check Start -> All Programs -> Startup

If it's not in there, check Start -> Run -> msconfig -> Startup

If it's not in either of those 2, it will be in the registry which I'll tell you where if the other 2 options don't work.

Of course it couldn't have been that simple...

There was one ATI's product at startup in msconfig, but that's just the Control Panel. I did uncheck it, rebooted, but it still opened the folder.

So... Registry it is.

Ok, one other place to check before registry.

Right click on Start -> select Explore All Users -> Open Programs -> Startup

This will show you what is set to open for every user that logs onto your computer.

Nope. Wasn't there either.

(Heh... Smells almost like a spam post.)

C:\Program Files\ATI

It doesn't run any program. Just opens that folder and it pops up infront of me. It has a subfolder C:\Program Files\ATI\7.94 showing that holds all the setup files in it plus all the data.cab files and so on.
