ok my comp will get slow sometimes and i can see it go slow or back to 1.99 ghz. i got a amd semperon 3400 i beilive. is there a reg or program that is hidden that does this?

Hi igotr,
All AMD cpus are labeled as 3400+ or 2800+ or so on and so forth. It doesn't mean that it is 3.4ghz. Your CPU hrz reading is correct.
