I just built this new pc last night, and installed the drivers and stuff it came with. The sound was working for a while but somewhere after a restart I got no sound. Just nothing, the volume controls are all on, no mutes, selected using right device in device manager, and i even tried re-installing the driver. Still nothing I checked the front headphone jack and no sound from that, and checked the back, still no sound.
Anyone got an idea of whats going on and how I can fix this???
Probaby already done but if it is onboard sound i believe there is a setting in the bios of most pcs to enable or disable it. Have a look in your bios and see if you can find anything
Well I havnt tried that, lol because the start up screen shows for 2 seconds then goes away and loads windows -_- I guess Ill just have to press Esc alot
Some times just installing a new driver won't cure it. What does it say in the device manager? Is it showing ok or is it showing a highlighted ! or X ? You might try totally uninstalling the sound card then rebooting and allow windows to install it with their generic drivers and see if that helps!
