Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] Java 2 Platform posted in the Operating Systems forums; Today a new icon appeared in my task bar...It is a "JAva 2 Platform"( by Sun Systems) icon...I can not find any mention of it any where else on the ...

Today a new icon appeared in my task bar...It is a "JAva 2 Platform"( by Sun Systems) icon...I can not find any mention of it any where else on the computer...now it has dissapeared and I have not done anything to it or rebooted...

Any help on this will be appreciated...

That is nothing to worry about. That just means that something, probably a website you just visited was using Java at that time.
