after you delete your partition(s) you will need to create a partition or if you only want 1 partition on your hard drive then just press enter and it will create a partition the size of your hard drive

on my pc i have 5 partitions for windows xp and my other hard drive is for linux

Exactly...what is the difference between having only one partition and having more than one?
