Arrow [Fixed] waking from hibernation...

hello,

i wanted to start to use my Compaq Presario V2000 laptop as a media alarm clock. I created a .bat file to open a windows media playlist, this works fine, however, i cannot get the task to run from hibernation, using the scheduled tasks manager. The only way i can wake up the computer in hibernation mode is by pressing the power button...
i believe that it is possible to automatically wake from hibernation, which the PC can do from Standby, using the scheduled tasks.
i have all the obvious boxes checked in power options and scheduled task manager, and cannot see anything relavent in the BIOS setup.
any help would be apprectiated,
cheers
J

I found this tip from PC World that says you can use the built-in task-scheduler to start your PC from hibernation... but it requires that you set a log-on password. There is also a way to do it using a "batch file". It's a little complex-- but as long as you don't have any "special" boot programs (ie you are not multi-booting, or running AV scans at boot) it should be possible.
It would probably be MUCH simpler to do from system 'standy'-- you can set the hard drives to shut down to minimize noise at night. Fans would still run though.
