Default Reformatting Help

Hi guys, I am going to do a complete reinstall of XP, to start from fresh again. Whenever i do this, i always have to reinstall files and programs that i need, such as Service Pack 2, Anti-Virus software etc etc..Which takes alot of time.. Now, i have put Norton Anti-Virus onto a CD, and i can install it straight from there once everything is done. But, how would i go about keeping Sevice Pack 2, so i don't have to download it again, because it is quite a large file. Would i just put it on a disk? And if so, where would i find the SP2 files? Or, is there a much easier way i can go about keeping all my files, so i have them ready when i have completed the reinstall?...

Thanks people.

You can make a slipsreamed copy of the XP install disk ie. a Xp install disk with SP2 included. The instructions are here http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...slipstream.asp

Thanks for the link Questor. This appears to be a much simpler method of slipstreaming than others ive used.

You could borrow one of someone. As long as you have a legit. serial number to use with it.
