Red face Unable to install downloaded programs

Hi,

Just downloaded Firefox browser onto HD. Then clicked on the ".exe", but got a message, "Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed."

Did this several times... Also ran AntiVirus and Ad-Aware and Spybot. Found nothing.

Anyone know how to correct this problem?

when you download the exe try selecting open instead of save to disk
does it happen with any other downloaded executables?

The problem did not happen with another ".exe" program that I downloaded to, and then installed from, the hard-drive. Seems strange, but perhaps Firefox was "larger" than the other ".exe", or "something"...

I was, however to install Firefox by installing it directly from the website without first downloading it onto my hard-drive. Am still kind of curious, though, why I had the initial problems

As far as I know, I had downloaded the complete file.
