Exclamation Dead System

Hya,

My PC randomly shut off on me, I tried turning it back on and it flicked on for a second and then shut off. I pressed the button again and nothing. I switched the back switch to Off and then back to On and hit the power button, same thing, flickered on for a mere second and shut off.
My PSU is pretty new and provides 550W, still, I stripped all un-essential components and tried again, same result.

This is annoying because I need this computer for heavy duty video and sound editing and the other computer in the house can't even run Premiere.

I really need help =\

Thanks

Now I'm guessing you've checked all of your other power connections, such as outlets, power cable integrity, that sorta stuff? Also, when you push the button, does it make any noise at all? Does the screen turn on? (probably, but I dunno). Also, try switching it with an older power supply (IFFF!!!!!!! the older power supply has enough voltage, because it can seriously damage you parts. It may just be a dead power supply all the sudden.

Thanks for the reply

Yes, I've checked all power lines and the power grid and everything. Unfortunently I don't have anhy other PSu to swap it with, however, the screen does turn on for the second that the computer flickers on, and everything starts coming to life and suddenly dies.
Thus, I'm guessing the PSU isn't dead, it can't be since there's lights inside of it and they're still working and so are all the lights which work on standby isnide the comp, meaning power is still going through.

Hmm, I went to eat dinner, came back, and tried once more, and OMG! It turned on. -.-

I swear this computer... gah
I'm pretty sure it's going to do it again though, so I still want to try to lock the problem down so it won't happen again.

Thanks for the help

(I hit the "Thanks" button for ya for your time)

See? I'm magical. Anyway, if it happens again, lemme know, and tell me the computer parts you have. Because it also sounds like it might be overheating, because I know mine did the same before I bought an extra fan. ('Cept it's sorta odd that it would overheat right away). Thanks for the thank you ! Lol.
